Lennon Sullen to Return for All-Star Choreography!
The Armory is privileged again to have one of the nation's top choreographers (and former Armory gymnast) come to the gym to work with our cheerleaders. Lennon Sullen of Atlanta will be coming to the gym July 15-16 to work with the Armory Phantoms on next years cheer routine. The girls are very excited about getting started on the upcoming season and are anxious to hear what songs will make up the music. Lennon is a former gymnast with the Armory, but also cheered at Auburn and eventually became the captain of the Auburn cheer squad. Since graduation he has gone to work in the cheer industry around Atlanta and travels the nation putting together world class routines. We are very happy to be bringing in such a wonderful coach and person for our choreography.
Olympic Gold Medalist, Vladimir Novikov, in Armory Practices Next Monday and Tuesday!
Vladimir Novikov is most known for his accomplishments at the 1988 Olympic games, where he won the gold medal for his high bar performance. However, Vladimir is also an amazing coach and clinician. The Armory Men's gymnastics team is proud to host Vladimir next Monday and Tuesday as a guest coach and clinician to the boys team. Novikov will work with the boys as they practice, so make sure your gymnast are in those practices. The level 5 team will practice on Tuesday from 9:00-noon (as well as their regularly scheduled practices). The Armory Phantoms and Thunder and taking new members to the squads now! If you or anyone you know is interested in cheering with the Armory, please see T.J. Peagler or call the office and he will call you back.
Start-of-the-Session Reminders
The Armory is excited to have the gym filled with eager gymnasts and cheerleaders who are ready to roll, leap and tumble. Here are just a few reminders for the Fall session:
- Make sure girl's hair is pulled back out of their face.
- Shoes are only allowed on the floor while cheerleading.
- No food or gum allowed on the floor.
- Be on time. Warm-ups are the most important part of the class.
- To to impress upon your child the importance of listening in class and remaining on the floor for the entire class.
- Drive slowly in the gym parking lot as we have very small children entering and exiting the gym at all times during the day.
